Discipleship program

Following the Biblical mandatory injunction to go into all the world and make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Growth Center is involved in discipleship and helping one another to love Jesus Christ. The Growth Center’s understanding is that disciple-making is not about sharing the gospel with people and then leaving them to figure out the Christian life on their own. Instead, we show them how to follow Christ on a day-by-day basis.

In our discipleship program, we speak about the gospel as we live according to the gospel. We tell people how they can be saved from their sins through Jesus’ death on the cross. The aims of our Discipleship program are fourfold: first, that believers would be rooted and grounded in Christ, recognizing the Gospel message of salvation as the foundation for their lives; second, that our believers would strive to be deeply acquainted with the Scriptures, studying them as the meat and drink needed to grow up in all things into Christ; third, that our believers would grow in Christ, seeing the promise of the Gospel as giving them all things needed for life and godliness; and fourth, that believers would have a growing passion and aptitude for evangelism and discipleship, joyfully joining in the work of the kingdom.

In our discipleship program, we walk through life together, showing one another how to pray, study the Bible, grow in Christ, and lead others to Christ. We believe that God has designed disciple-making not only for the good of others but also for our growth in Christ.
